OpCoat Precision Optical Coatings
OpCoat ltd. is a privately owned company of precision optical coatings. The coatings are deposited in high-vacuum systems using ion-assisted electron-guns. Opcoat has two evaporation systems. The physical properties and thickness of the films are highly controlled by accurate monitoring the deposition parameters. The deposition systems are placed in clean rooms class 10000.
Various types of coatings are made in our evaporation systems:
Anti-reflection, filters ( wide-band, narrow-band, angular and notch), mirrors (dielectric and protected-metallic) and beam splitters. The coatings are deposited on various types of substrates: optical glass, semiconductors (Si, Ge, GaAs), sapphire, Zinc-Sulpfide, Zinc-Selenide, plastics (polycarbonate, PMMA, Zeonex, etc.).
The quality of the coatings is tested according to various MIL-SPEC requirements. In general, the tests include optical transmission/reflection at various AOI, adhesion, abrasion, humidity and solubility in liquids.
Optical designs of the coatings are carried out at our facility using theoretical simulations programs.
OpCoat operates under ISO 9001:2008 certified by the Standards Institute of Israel according to the international certification network.
