Israel is the world leader in water reclamation and in 2010, its exports of water-saving technologies were $1.5 billion. While Israel treats 80% of its sewage and 60% of the water used for irrigation is reclaimed water, the next largest water reclamation reclaims only 17% of its water. Israel pioneered in irrigation technology and micro-irrigation systems are used in 80% of its irrigated areas.
Yokneam is located at the edge of the Jezre'el Valley, in the heart of where Israel's agricultural pioneers "made the desert bloom". Since the 1950s Yokneam and the surrounding communities have been involved in agricultural and environmental research. So it is only natural that much of Israel's clean tech and agrotech is developed here.
AQUA HD was founded with the simple understanding that nature knows best and can be improved upon for human needs. The company has developed a simple breakthrough system that operates under low pressure – consuming significantly less energy than similar systems while shortening the lifecycle of the separation process.
AQUA HD started operating in the TerraLab incubator at the end of 2015. Since then, we have made significant progress developing prototypes and testing them in leading sewage plants with outstanding results. The company is in the process of entering joint venture agreements in Israel and abroad, including with national water companies. Additional prototypes with enhanced features are currently being developed for testing in other potential applications.
AQUA HD has designed and developed an ingenious water separation and filtration system that draws on the natural science of fluids in motion. The unique structure of our closed system marks a technological breakthrough in the way centrifugal and drag forces are controlled in high flow. By applying the principles of fluid dynamics and fractal geometry found in natural phenomena - from spiral mollusk shells to hurricane bands - we are able to achieve unprecedented results in the removal of suspended solids from water.
Our out-of-the-box technology is capable of separating particles with high size variability – without significantly reducing the efficacy with increased dirt load, and without the need to make adjustments or stop the separation process.
The system operates under low pressure of 5m; therefore consuming only 20% of the energy compared to existing separation systems. It’s highly effective and dramatically shortens cycle time of the separation process.
Aqwise develops and implements innovative biological water and wastewater treatment solutions for the industrial and municipal markets. Aqwise’s family of biofilm-based solutions range from tailor-made process design to full turn-key projects, increase BOD and nutrient removal capacity utilizing various aerobic and anaerobic processes.

It offers fully implemented, comprehensive remote meter reading solutions for walk-by, drive-by, and fix base systems, that require no physical access or visual inspection of meters. The system is so responsive, that utility clients can be alerted to problems such as water loss or pipe breakage, the moment they occur.
Arugga is developing an autonomous robot for treating and monitoring individual plants in greenhouses. Our mechanical pollination module aims to replace the work of dwindling labor forces in countries where pollination is done manually. And it will also replace the work of bumblebees, the most widely used pollination solution, thus solving sensitivity to environmental conditions and pesticides, and preventing the spread of viruses.
